Baden-Dättwil, 28 October 2015 Callers from all over the world can call the number 1820.
Switzerland with immediate effect competent national and international information in best quality.
The information is provided in Swiss German, French, Italian, High German and
English. 1820 answers all calls in Switzerland. No calls are forwarded to foreign call centres, but are handled at the new call centre in Biel.
1820 sees itself as a modern brokerage service that goes beyond simply searching for and finding telephone directory entries. At 1820, the focus is on the customers and their individual needs. The goal is to take time for the concerns of the callers and to find solutions that meet their needs. For 1820's managing director Peter Jósika, formerly head of 1818, an exciting project is beginning: "It will be seen whether a number with limited advertising means can prevail through the factors of experience, quality and language competence."
The operator of 1820 is the Dättwil-based company AP Dialog. The successful former managing director of 1818, Peter Jósika, was brought on board for the launch of the directory enquiries number 1820. Jósika is convinced that despite the increasing availability of digital offers, directory enquiry services have a future. Jósika says: "After an enormous decline in the use of directory enquiries services in the last decade, a stabilisation is now becoming apparent. In the future, we can even expect growth again. In certain situations, there is still a need for personal service. It is important that Innovation, quality and price and existing regulatory hurdles for 18xy services fall. That's what 1820 is counting on."
The new directory enquiries 1820 takes over a team of experienced directory enquiries specialists and can thus start with great know-how. The Swiss directory enquiries market was liberalised in 2007, with two providers establishing themselves. The directory enquiries service 1820 now offers a new Swiss alternative with a call centre in Biel as: "Directory enquiries from Switzerland for Switzerland".
Information 1820 is operated by the well-established AP Dialog, which has been awarded the TSS Fair Call Certificate. Parts of today's AP Dialog were founded to create jobs for people with visual impairments by the Swiss Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBC). Peter Frommenwiler, Managing Director of AP Dialog, focuses on opportunities for people with disabilities, fair working conditions and high-quality service. His motto: "We take time for our employees and customers."
